Hi, friends: We’re very stoked about a January 2018 race! We’ll continue to post updates on our Facebook page, and we’ll update this site with revised rules, and with entry information. Think snow!
The Runaway Jim 180 is a 179-mile dogsled race in Alaska’s White Mountains, starting January 9, 2017.
The White Mountains in interior Alaska have a well-deserved reputation of being spectacular, and sometimes challenging. The trail goes above treeline through Cache Mountain Divide and can blow-in while you watch it. Overflow is common. It will be cold. It will be dark. The hills are long and just keep coming. It will be amazing!! Come on out and enjoy Interior Alaska mushing at its finest.
